So I bought two sets hoping to put them in different places. I hung the first set around the pool railing. Unfortunately, the first set lasted one night, and the next night I got flickering lights at times. So, being a techie, I took the solar box apart and found that the O-ring was broken. The battery looked fine and the PCB was conformal coated to keep moisture out, but I suspect the CPU chip has failed. I can remap the light and box and control the light with my own MicroPic. The second set sits around the pool rail and works flawlessly for a few weeks. I like the fact that the LEDs are in a waterproof clear tube, but these are pretty cheap and I would either buy different bulbs or buy multiple sets for the price and expect at least one of them to fail.
