It works quite well. I had to connect 3 sources to a TV that only has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA and nothing else. I also use it to mute and connect it to a bluetooth speaker with aux input. I'm going to buy some sort of speaker and then use the optical out to go there. My wife sometimes has trouble getting it to work, so it's not reliable. She's pretty good at stuff like that because everything we have around the house has always been very technical, but this thing just doesn't work exactly like it's supposed to, so it needs fiddling with, and that's what she struggles with. also causes the TV to stay on indefinitely, which is not good at all. It should stop sending a signal when all 3 sources are off, but it doesn't. I have to turn off the TV with the remote, which we haven't had to do in 10 years, so it's a weird experience and we often forget. Living room, to prolong the life of my surround receiver, we ended up buying a much better unit that cost about $50. It cost extra money. So if you have $30-$40 more I would look elsewhere.
