Review on ☕ Glass Handle Series Chemex Pour-Over Glass Coffeemaker - 10-Cup - Exclusive Packaging by Patricia Ross

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great coffee *updated* but the glass is fragile.

First a little story about my coffee drinking. Black coffee maker Mr. I have been drinking coffee for 8-10 years. It does its job, but not EXCELLENT. Sometimes I'll grab a cup from work, which is awful and unfiltered, but does what it's supposed to: give me energy. I never buy from Starbucks or any other coffee shop, mainly because it's a waste of money in my opinion. Why should I pay a lot of money (and use gas) to get a cup? So I basically make my own coffee at home. I bought this because my Mr. Coffee was finally starting to bite the dust and I wanted something useful at home that didn't require a stove top or lots of electricity. I also wanted a tastier cup. The reviews for this coffee maker were promising so I clicked 'Add to Cart' and I'm glad I did! I made my first cup this morning and OMG-WTF-GTFO it was an AWESOME cup of coffee. I can say that this was the best cup of coffee I've had in years. The taste is so mild without a hint of bitterness that I'm used to. Wonderful. I used the correct filters for this coffee maker and used Seattle's best Grade 4 organic coffee with organic vanilla coffee creamer. Update: I'm updating my review and ratings due to a small bug. I read many reviews before purchasing and many said the glass is brittle and fragile so I have been very careful with my glass cleaner since the day I received it. I use a soft pad under the countertop to keep it from "knocking" on the countertop. I also took great care when washing that I didn't bump into anything in the sink. So far I've never bumped it against anything, and I noticed a small crack on the handle. As I understand it, there is a crack on the lid or somewhere under it, but not on the handle, which is always in hand and never hits anything? The crack is getting longer every day and it's only a matter of time before it resolves. Maybe it's still useful if it breaks, so we'll see. I deducted a star because the glass is very brittle and cracks (starts cracking) in places that normally wouldn't crack. But it still makes great coffee.
