My cat is dirty in the litter box. He always throws the trash out of the box onto my hardwood floor. I wanted a rug that would help control the amount of dirt on the floor each day. However, this rug was a clear disappointment. It's really very big. My tray is in a small hallway and there really isn't much room for a rug of this size. Also, I'm not even sure which side the rug is supposed to be on the floor. I think the top of the rug is really hard to walk on and the cat looked at it and didn't like it. In fact, it's very difficult to walk on, and while it doesn't hurt your legs, it's not very comfortable. The cat didn't like the feel of her paws. He tried to walk over it to get to his box. It is very thick and although the description says it is easy to cut I have not attempted to cut the rug. In any case, I didn't like its hardness and texture, so I didn't try to cut it smaller for my small area. So this blanket is not used as a cat blanket at all. I can't find a good use for this rug at the moment.
