When I first connected to a Mac Pro via DisplayPort, the monitor was unacceptably dark at 100% and I didn't see a way to increase the brightness. Some wrote that the power saving mode should be turned off, but I did not see such a setting in the monitor menu. and I started preparing for the return of the display. I then connected my MacBook Pro (M1 Max) via Thunderbolt. and WOW! Even at the factory setting of 70% it's too bright. Windows moves smoothly at 72Hz, a very significant improvement over 60Hz. I switched to this LG after using a 32" Benq 3840 monitor for several years x 2160 at 60 Hz. Edge-to-edge uniformity contributes to a slight curvature. So far I'm very impressed! If I had one wish, it would be a glossy display, which would make it sharper and more contrasty in a lighted room. counterintuitively, but when HDR is on, the display is dim and dim.
