I have an old Win 98SE laptop and I thought it would be great to see if it would even work wirelessly. A few years ago I already bought a TRENDnet wireless router that worked fine on my desktop computer in wired mode, so I figured that at such a low price I'd take a chance and buy a wireless card. I also figured that if it didn't work I could just return it. Well I'm happy to report that it installed without any issues and has been working great on my old laptop ever since. I'm also very impressed with the well-written and helpful quick installation guides that come with both the card and the router, and I had no trouble installing the utility and driver software that came with it. My brother recommended I use a more reputable brand when I bought the router, but TRENDnet's prices were so much better that I decided to give it a try. Based on my previous experience with them, I'm very glad I did!
