    Recommended for networking products

I bought 3 of these cards. They work well in WinXP with and without Service Pack 2. These cards are very cheap and work well. I connect them to Linksys WRT54g. [.]The card uses chips from Texas Instruments. It looks like the chipset manufacturer doesn't support Linux. Therefore, the map is not easy to install on Linux OS. You can find several websites that describe how to install Linux, but I haven't had time to try it. Non-Linux support is the only reason they can get 3 stars. As with many…

    Couldn't be happier.

I have an old Win 98SE laptop and I thought it would be great to see if it would even work wirelessly. A few years ago I already bought a TRENDnet wireless router that worked fine on my desktop computer in wired mode, so I figured that at such a low price I'd take a chance and buy a wireless card. I also figured that if it didn't work I could just return it. Well I'm happy to report that it installed without any issues and has been working great on my old laptop ever since. I'm also very…

Hey it works: Wireless Access Points

It's cheaper than taking apart a laptop, removing screws, damaging cables, cursing, doing it over and over again because you didn't do it properly plugged in a card or memory card, yelled and cursed some more, and then threw away that cheap old laptop in frustration. Just order it, plug it in, and you can get back to surfing lessons with stunning Revain product reviews.

Works great on XP with enough memory. Not so good on 98se

I had this on my small windows 98se machine and it has always worked without problems. So when my friend urgently needed a wireless card for her XP machine, I gave her mine and ordered a replacement. When it arrived I noticed the box was slightly different but the card itself looked the same. I installed it on my 98se machine and it needed new drivers! After installing new drivers it still didn't work! A call to Trendnet informed me that the map had been updated and now needs more memory to…

Works best in computers and accessories

Bought for an old laptop that doesn't support USB wireless. Software installed, map installed, connected to the internet. What more can you ask for? Speed and range are normal for this card.
