Nice little setup but you need a few things to start welding

per month to weld the frame and make parts to assemble my bobber. I only gave one star for the ridiculous ground wire and flash trigger. I've included a photo of the first try out of the box (it's been over 15 years since Lincoln Electric Welding School). This was done with a welder plugged into 240V, 85A, 15 CFH Argon, 1/16" Tungsten and a #5 cup (I didn't test it on a 120V outlet). This is a very simple easy to use high frequency start BUT BUT BUT this is NOT a buy and weld themed purchase I had to do some sourcing to get to the first weld here is a list of what I used , hopefully it helps new welders Argon Tank - I have a 40cf tank of pure argon which at 10-15cfh gives about 3 hours of arc time plenty for my project $180 argon regulator one of these has stayed with me since lincoln days. I have found that standard propane hose works great and is very inexpensive. A 5 foot hose 1/4" male and 3/8" female is $16. I just cut off the flare connection and plug in the cut hose he pipe clamp on the connection at the welder and the other side with a pipe clamp. 1/4" male thread to regulator with the following connections. Flare fitting: 3/8" FL x 1/4" MIP Brass pipe coupling: 1/4" FIP 3/8"-5/8" hose barb clamp (propane hose is 1/2" OD). 1/16 inch is the only size that fits either of the two unmarked (metric?) collets that came with my welder. /16"->1/16") Welding Helmet - Make sure you get a quality auto-darkening mask as TIG welding is very precise and visibility is key. Forget the old "can't see without a loop" baton, TIG is a different beast. And of course leather gloves, a tungsten grinder, pieces of steel for welding, a 240V three-prong socket and a lot of patience. Hope that helps. Good luck, dream big, get up from the fold out couch and build stuff.
