I was looking for a Bluetooth wireless speaker for my Motorola Xoom but didn't really want to spend a lot. (This review focuses on the Bluetooth aspect rather than USB wireless audio, which the speaker is also capable of.) This product not only meets those expectations, it exceeds them. It costs about $100 at your local hardware store. (You might not be so lucky with this rating, as Revain appears to have "caught up" other online retailers' price point, which is around $75.) The speaker itself is solidly built and feels a little strong on. It is approximately 10 inches wide, 4 1/2 inches high, and approximately 2 1/2 inches deep. (Approximately 4 inches deep with a fold-out stand in the back.) The speaker cones are protected on the front by a tough, durable mesh and encased in thick plastic that looks a bit stylish in its simplicity. On the right side (when the speaker grille is facing you) is a power LED and wireless network activity indicator, as well as a 1/8-inch stereo minijack and power/charge port. On the back you will find a folding stand. It also houses a desktop or laptop USB dongle, a power button (middle), a concave "volume down" button on the left (again, with the speaker grille facing you), and a convex "volume" button on the right Side. This makes these controls very easy to find. The speaker comes with an initial guide for everything you need to know about the speaker's features (e.g. what the different charging LED states indicate). ), power supply/charger and a handy storage case for both speakers to protect them from dust when not in use (the case can also store the charger in a separate pocket separate from the speaker. That's right. lol There's one too separate instructions on how to pair the speaker with your iPo.d or iPad, but as everyone already knows, this product can be paired with pretty much all Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as those using the Android operating system "i am a musician, does that count? :D but this speaker sounds amazing. Others have complained about the less than outstanding sound, but honestly this is a wireless portable speaker, not a $10,000 home theater system. Don't even compare Others have too comments that Bluetooth audio doesn't sound as good as wired (i.e. when connected via a 1/8" stereo mini jack). I tried one To make a comparison, I came to the same conclusion: these people are onto something, since I can't see any noticeable difference between them. I've tried different audio sources at the same volume, both via Bluetooth and wired, and can't hear much of a difference. Everything sounds nice and clean. (I've tried everything from metal to vintage music to movie soundtracks. Movie soundtracks and other sources of modern music with deep bass are the weakest, but that's not entirely bad because they still sound great. You can still hear the bass but you win you don't feel them hit you in the stomach like i said i didn't expect that) yes it's not THX quality but it's very, very good for what it is and how much it charges at this price point, it can get pretty loud (it fills an average-sized room fairly well) and is a lot better than the Xoom's built-in speakers. The range is not that bad as a Bluetooth device. I was able to walk down the hallway of my house (which has plaster walls and chicken wire) from my bedroom (which is at one end of the hallway) and got the signal to break at the end of the hallway, about 20 feet or so total. However, I plan on keeping the Xoom and speaker together as I simply wanted to hear my music collection with the best speakers. I can control the volume with both the Xoom and the speakers. (This can cause confusion because if you turn the volume down on the device, you won't get much volume out of the speakers.) It might be better to "set and forget" on the device and control the volume on the speakers. In my case but in your case it may be the other way around. I haven't tested the durability of a full charge yet. It took about 3 hours from half to full charge. I can run it for about an hour, but if anything changes I'll update my review. (You can use the speakers while charging.) So if you're tired of your mobile device's built-in speakers, try this. For what they are, Logitech hit a home run here. Fantastic sound at an affordable price.
