Review on 🥦 Efficiently Steam Vegetables with the Cestari Kitchen Microwave Vegetable Steamer by Jarod Berthelson

mixed reaction. Not exactly excited.

I bought it mainly with the intention of using it as a roaster in the oven. So I am reviewing the product specifically based on my experience of using it as an oven roaster rather than a product that can be used in a microwave oven. So yes it works as it allows you to roast items in the oven. My problem is the awkwardness and difficulty of removing the product from a hot oven. I guess most of us use some kind of oven mitt to get hot items out of the oven. In practice, there is simply nothing to cling to. Good luck trying to grab the tiny pop-out locking valve on this product to get it out of the hot oven. I could not. Then I decided that a pair of pliers would work. Technically, tongs will work, but if you're using tongs to remove the food from the oven, you need to keep the food perfectly level as you lift it in and out of the oven, as if it's sloping a little, the juices or liquids will get in there leak. any open end that slopes downward, even slightly. So to fix this scenario you need to put the food in the pan and then use your mittens to take out the entire pan with the food in the cooking pan.
