I find the large selection ideal for storing roasted coffee beans. I use the smaller ones for perishable items in the fridge like sliced avocados and strawberries. They are very easy to use and work very well. I only had issues with them holding a vacuum when I first started using them until I figured out a few things. First, make sure the valve/vent seals, rims, and cap seals are absolutely clean and free of debris. Second, I smeared some oil (olive or vegetable) under the valve. Once I started this and applied the appropriate number of pumps, all the containers held their vacuum. The pump has held up well so far and I try not to be too aggressive during the pump. If you feel like you're not getting a good seal while pumping, try slightly wetting the underside of the pump slip ring. Overall they are a great value and they work great for me.
