Review on 48.9" Monitor Samsung C49G95TSSI, 5120x1440, 240Hz, *VA, white/black by Janis Bike ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I recently replaced my Samsung c49hg 3840 * 1080 with a newer one. Reason, I wanted more resolution and more bend. The joystick turned out to have a small defect - it is not always possible to move the cursor up. The matrix is not peeled off yet. I think everything will be fine with her, because. upon receipt, checked the date of manufacture (11/2022). In Windows, when PowerSafe simply turns off and then turns on with a definition like "a new monitor is connected", and the windows move to the second monitor. Apparently, the Samsung, as always, has a raw firmware, which they saw already when they released everything for sale. Putting a new monitor noticed that the monitor is flickering, such as switching hertz. It is rather difficult to explain, but the connection is either bad or something does not connect. The image periodically flickers and the lines shift for a second, then again everything is fine. On the advice of foreign friends, I changed the old DP cable to the one that was attached - everything began to work perfectly. The cover that closes the cable is just a "wonderful wonder" of engineering. I closed it stupidly until I checked everything and then I barely opened it, I thought I would either break the monitor, or the lid, or my hands. The firmware of the monitor also strained a little. I downloaded the file, wrote it to a USB flash drive, shoved it into the right port, chose the menu, and the monitor "I don't see any file I need." Well, I think okay, FAT32 may not suit you, let's make it FAT16, it's certainly seen by everyone and everywhere. Again, the same thing, there is no file and that's it. Okay, I took another flash drive - the result is the same. Well, I think that's it, the port is not soldered or something. Again he turned to the all-seeing eye. It turned out that foreign comrades also got up on this rake, and for one comrade only the fifth (!) Flash drive worked. Okay, I took another flash drive from the bins and it already worked. So if anything, do not despair and try to win. Again, comparing with the first model 49", there were no such problems and the same flash drives were read easily and without compulsion. We can conclude that they are starting to reduce the price of the hardware stuffing a little, although the price is kept at the level.

Pros
  • The picture is great. The permission is the best. Too small for work, but it's the most to play. The pixel is small compared to the previous monitor in the same form factor.
Cons
  • There are no profile switching buttons as it was in the first model 49". Does not enter power saving mode. Horse price. I must say right away that working on it with a resolution of 3840 * 1080 is still a "pleasure". The picture is blurry, not clear, but in native resolution everything is quite small.
