Seams between pieces of metal that fit together.
The seams between the metal parts that together form the entire handrail are wide. I expected all the metal parts to fit together snugly. The gaps between the rod you actually take and the "L" pieces that attach to the wall brackets are so large that the rod moves back and forth between the "L". He does not understand, but not flush. Since the gaps are so big, I'm worried about water getting into the metal parts, and I don't know if the inside is made of plated or stainless steel rods. There is a chance that they will start to rust or mold between the seams. I think I will.
