If you're buying to make ice cubes think twice as it's very small and only makes enough ice for maybe 2 drinks --- waste of time for that purpose. But great for my purposes. Each cube has a volume of almost exactly one teaspoon. I freeze grated ginger, tomato paste, minced garlic and chopped fresh herbs. After freezing, I take the tray out and put it in zip lock bags so I always have it on hand when I need to cook. I'll buy 2 more. I used one tray for garlic, one for ginger, and the other for tomato paste and spices, alternating. Aside from retaining the flavor of what's been frozen inside, it's very easy to wash and clean.
