I bought this soundbar to improve the sound of my monitor as now all my work meetings are virtual. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect it directly to the monitor (I'm sure it's possible, but none of the cables that came with the mount could connect to it). I connected the USB cable to the laptop and at first the sound was very quiet even with my laptop speaker volume set to 100. I kept unplugging and plugging the USB cable in and out of my computer through trial and error and it seemed like the sound got louder each time. I might have better luck cranking up the speaker volume with the remote. As a Bluetooth speaker, I connected it to my iPhone XR and the sound was sooooo loud! I'll still be working with this to figure out how to increase the volume when connected to my laptop. On the side of the speaker itself are buttons to power it on, play/pause music, adjust the volume, and change the speaker's different modes. It speaks when switched on as well as when switching modes. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. It's lightweight and doesn't take up much space on my desk. In the box: a user manual, a remote control but no batteries, a USB cable but no connector to connect it to, an extra cable and a red/white RCA output cable in case you want to connect it to your TV. . Not bad for $16** Updated 1/20/2021 I was able to turn up the volume with the remote! I am very pleased :)
