I actually keep this behind a chair near our front door to keep my kids' helmets and safety gear inside, knee pads and elbow pads. It's small enough to get out of the way and hide behind a chair, but big enough to fit two kids' bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, kick scooters, and climbing gear. It's actually pretty cool because when I decide not to use it and store it for a while, it basically folds almost flat. He just flinches. It has handles if you use it as a laundry basket next to the washing machine. It has a plastic coating on the inside and is more like a canvas on the outside, so it offers some kind of moisture or waterproofing. It won't hold water nor is it waterproof except for a wet garment, but will protect everything around you for a while. It seems pretty sturdy and I think it's actually a pretty good storage basket. It would also be great and a child's room to throw a few things in!
