Okay, late... sorry! In my defense, I haven't eaten many potatoes there in a while (I still don't, to be honest). However, I gave it some thought and realized that this suction cup does more than just make french fries. I love a good salad, I mean cucumber, lettuce, tomato, all toppings! I cut some cucumbers with it... YES! Why didn't I think of that sooner? There have been times I've even sliced up some pickles to eat with hummus or low-fat Italian dressing as an appetizer (try before you hit). This groundbreaking gadget is easy on your fingers, too. Something I never thought of, I actually tried it recently to make my own tortilla chips. All you have to do is put some flour tortillas on a plate. Making sure they are well aligned/stacked, take your slicer and slice the tortilla into wedges. You may have to go through several areas again. But after they're done, they'll be cut perfectly and should fall or fall apart along the perforated lines. It's easy to clean, the handle is just the right size and has enough grip to hold on to. Never had problems with slipping. It's also of great quality, so don't worry about it peeling off. An essential item in a kitchen drawer.
