Review on Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED Zoom Lens: Ultimate Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Adisorn PK ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

A good lens due to its versatility, I use it with the D800, the aperture allows you to shoot in rooms with average lighting without a flash on the FF camera, the focus is fast, but not always accurate. The focal lengths are boring, the wide angle is not so wide, you can’t shoot the architecture, the long angle is small, it doesn’t reach full-length portraits. In general, the reporting is glass, for quick fixation of events without frills. Bokeh at 2.8 is good only for facial portraits, in all other cases, FLU at 2.8 is too high to get an interesting picture. The picture of fixes is much more interesting, but with fixes we lose the most important advantage of this zoom - versatility.

Pros
  • Very fast focus Very sharp even at 2.8 Universal Aperture (for zoom)
Cons
  • HA climb at every opportunity boring bokeh Autofocus still sucks sometimes Poor quality manufacturing (two days later the rubber swells on the focal ring)
