I use a Riedel crystal whiskey glass for my fine single malt whiskies, but for bourbon and sour mash I need a durable non-crystal glass. This glass is perfect. This glass is much harder than crystal and thicker, not as thin as Riedel, but is excellent for transporting whiskey from the table to your hands and mouth. The bottom of the jar is thick, so it has some weight. Other reviewers/questions on how to put an ice cube in a glass. I poured some Jack (clear) into my glass. My friend wanted Baileys with an ice cube. An ordinary square cube, straight out of a standard ice cream maker, fits easily into your glass. They came in a plain cardboard box, with no fancy labels, with dividers separating the four jars.
