Review on Front Mount Bicycle Seat for Kids - Child Infant Toddler - Baby Carrier with Handrail - USA Safety Standard - Perfect Adult Bike Attachment by Tim Ram

Not enough space to kick

Bought to use with our 2 year old until our 4 month old is big enough to use. There is almost not enough legroom for an adult to pedal normally. I have to pedal with my legs apart, which is very uncomfortable. My hip flexors burned after the short ride. My 2 year old's helmet also hits my chest when I bend down to grab the wheel. His head is pushed forward slightly. He was fine with it, but it got annoying for me. Considering the price, I really wanted to like this child bike seat, but it just doesn't fit a person my size (6ft 1in) on a standard mountain bike (a 1990's HardRock). Note: not entirely sure. how well would this fit on womens bikes or bikes without a horizontal frame, haven't even tried mounting it on my wife's bike because it didn't work for me. We are returning this and will try the iBert Safe-T-Seat easy to install (took 20 minutes) - Very snug fit on the bike especially when the child is seated - Good overall support for the child and seems to be holding them securely - Quick release for taking off the bike Cycling or changing wheels is cool. Cons: - Not enough room for normal pedalling, no more forward adjustment and no way to sit further forward - Straps are a little chunky and it would be better if there were more clips for easier on and off. No hanging pads
