Overall this is a much better quality product than I expected for the price. This small tripod is strong enough to easily hold a DSLR. The legs are strong, articulate, and foldable to be quite compact. The weakest part of this mechanism is the ball joint, which allows for free positioning of the mount. The release button is comfortable and secure, but the ball joint works if you use enough force. With lighter equipment it's not a problem, but with a heavy lens I would be nervous. My standard lens on my Nikon D3100 is still light enough to fit securely, but I wouldn't be comfortable going much heavier. Great little mini tripod compared to others available in this price range.
