Ideal for Canon lenses with no loss of optical quality.

I'm sure a reputable one Professional and specialized in technical and image reviews. If you're reading this review, you already know that Sony's mirrorless cameras are awesome. Like me, you're probably looking for ways to use your excellent Canon glass with the Sony system. Simply put, the Sigma MC-11 is a great solution. But be aware that this is no miracle worker: BENEFITS: No loss of optical quality Excellent build and ease of use Fair price Most Canon EF lenses and others will operate at reasonably good focus and scan speeds. So make sure you have the latest firmware. You might like Sony lenses for their typically light weight. The MC-11 adds 4.4 ounces to the weight of the lens. OBSERVATIONS AND TESTS: I did an extensive test with my high quality Canon lenses and used them with a 61MP Sony A7R IV camera. A camera with such truly incredible resolution will really make a difference, although in most cases the slight differences in lens sharpness aren't as noticeable as what I'm about to discuss here: my Canon lenses are great. Sony lenses are even better in almost all cases. So if you're using an insanely high-resolution camera like the A7R IV, you might want to upgrade to Sony lenses sooner. Focusing is really good depending on the Canon lens I tested, but fast tracking for sports and wildlife lags a bit behind Sony's native lenses. The best Sony-optimized Sigma and Tamron also sometimes outperform Canon lenses in terms of speed and tracking. -200f4, 24IS, 300f4IS, 1.4x TS. You all did a great job. In particular, I'm seriously considering using my wonderful 70-200mm and 300mm Canon for use with the MC-11. For me, Sony has not yet found a perfect complement to these focal lengths, which combine light weight with professional performance. My only disappointment with the lens was the otherwise excellent Canon 100 f2.8 Macro. He's chasing focus and wasn't a great performer with the MC-11. CONCLUSION: The price is right compared to competitors from Metabones that I haven't tested yet. However, I don't feel like I need it. The Sigma MC-11 looks great paired with Canon lenses and Sony bodies, has build quality to match and is the perfect bridge to complement the Sony system's advantages over my old Canon friend. I hope this long review was short. Help. ENJOY SHOOTING!
