The original seals in my toilet were less than three years old and cracked, causing the water left in the toilet to leak out of the toilet through the seal. I highly recommend using silicone to ensure the toilet bowl fits snugly onto the toilet valve assembly. In addition, a synthetic lubricant must be applied to the vane and bottom of the seal to reduce vane leakage and gas backflow from the black tank into the house.
