These lights are really bright! I put the batteries in and almost went blind. I decided to tape them to the bottom of my cabinets instead of screwing them in. The light comes with both options. When I turned them on, they worked great. The remote control is a good option, as is the timer in 15, 30, 60, and 120 minute increments. I also like that the light has two levels of brightness. One thing that really bothered me is that they randomly turn on and off by themselves. I walk into the kitchen and one of the lights is on even though I didn't turn it on. After a while it turns off. I don't know why this is happening. This doesn't happen with just one light. This is each of the lights at a given point in time. If there was no random light on and off, would have received this product
