Review on Plantronics BackBeat Headphones Sweatproof Waterproof Headphones and Earbud Headphones by Melissa Cervantes

Nothing else really matters when the battery life is terrible

I'm not a music lover so a bit of bass and treble is all I really need. But if I can only hear a couple of songs before the voice says "Battery dead" then I'm done. I bought a Bose SoundSport, which costs twice as much and sounds twice as good, but doesn't have all the voice features that Backbeat has, such as: B. answering a call. I charged both headsets to 100%, then played the same number of songs which lasted just under an hour and made 2 phone calls which lasted around five minutes each - see the included screen caption. Ten minutes after I took this screenshot I was still listening to music, the Bose was almost 60% charged and the backbeat was off, completely drained. About an hour of music, two phone calls five minutes later, Backbeat died. From fully charged. Bose wasn't without its issues/issues - it only pairs with my Samsung Note after I install the Bose app, which Bose says is necessary to track the device if it's lost. Not mentioned, an additional application is needed to handle the tracking part. Both apps are very intrusive, requiring the phone's location (as expected), Contacts, and Messages to always be on. Strangely, I uninstalled both apps, but I was still able to use SoundSport. And as I mentioned, given the cost, I was expecting Bose's voice commands to be a bit more complex. hour of battery life. And all without trying to outperform Facebook and Google in collecting my personal information.
