I bought this to view trading cards and for me it has magnification and is bright enough to see cards the way I need it. Not too heavy, I can hold it easily and don't have to hold it tight. Good viewing space and fits easily in a pocket/storage bag. The instructions are a bit small, but I don't need a magnifying glass to read them. For me, it's something I can keep in my bag for quick checks without having to use a "big magnifying glass" that can't be easily moved around the home. The price is very reasonable and it can be used for a variety of crafts/projects very easily.
