Guide combs are made of soft plastic and will not catch on the machine head. I tried using clippers and all the guide combs were too soft plastic. The shaving head heats up during operation and heats up all the guide combs. At that point they will fall off. If you try to cut your own hair, you may not notice that it's fallen out if you cut the back of your head and cut your hair too close. There doesn't seem to be a solution for this. I'll call Auster to see if I can get better guide combs. If not, then this clipper is useless. I will keep you updated on their response.
