You need a working and stable wired network for everything is working. You then need to install applications on different devices to be able to access this product from your TV. The native app is practically useless for anything other than live streaming. And even for that, the user interface is not enough. To replace something like a TiVo, you need at least a fully functional network, a device, a network-connected TV, and a separate place to store your recordings. Missing features: (Plex included) - Fast forward and rewind where you can actually see the video going faster - Keyword or time recording of the show - Faster playback speed of the recordings. Convenient commercial pass (Plex has it, but the implementation sucks). Sort shows by something other than recording date. You have to make it work.
