I spent quite a bit of time looking at various speaker stands for the price I was willing to pay and these are the only ones I kept coming back to. Within minutes of arrival I had them assembled in the required configuration, the spikes didn't fit my floor so I opted for mini cork pads for the furniture, the manufacturer only includes 8 pads covering only the floor padding, if you need padding for the top of the speakers I'd probably recommend Blu-Tak Putty instead as others have mentioned there is a bit of instability which I'm pretty sure is due to the size and length of the screws , which are used to attach both ends to the panels. This is a simple manufacturing solution that makes them pristine, but they're secure enough to hold my Pioneer SP-BS22-LR speakers that are firmly blocked by Blu-Tak. Overall they are a great purchase and they look subtle enough to blend into my room.
