Review on Kensington Transmitter Auto Charger White by Marklen Baeskens

I checked different FM stations before buying as my car only has a CD player/radio. The iTrip and similar patch channels had very mixed reviews, and I didn't particularly like the way they looked on the iPod. Then I noticed Monster's iCarPlay, which seemed like a good idea for charging and broadcasting, and I speculated that it might be a better transmitter simply because it has more power to it. While browsing other similar products, I came across this Kensington product. I decided to buy it instead of iCarPlay because it pairs so well with the iPod and because it was "Aerielle Enabled". I actually had no idea what that meant, but after further research it turned out to be a new, patented transmission method that is considered to be quite good. How it is. I plugged one end into the cigarette lighter and the radio, already tuned to 88.1, went silent. That's when I realized it was a great product as the complaints about the tram sitters are that they transmit static electricity themselves, but it was completely silent. I was a bit concerned because all 107 stations are available in my area (north of Boston), but all you really need is an empty station (you can only tune this station to 88.1-7 or 107.1-7). I plugged in my iPod and turned on the music and it was playing on my radio. It didn't sound weak at all, but it was a noticeable downgrade from the CD. So I played around with the settings. I boosted the bass on my stereo and set the iPod's equalizer to "Acoustic" which worked very well; The sound was clear, high and low, with good balance. It might just be my stereo, so try different combinations if you're not satisfied, but I really can't tell a CD from my iPod at the moment. I'm sure there is a drop in quality but I won't notice anything as I drive and cars can be quite noisy. The equalizer might drain the battery a little quicker, but it charges up so it works great. The beauty of this is that the iPod automatically pauses when you turn off the car, so you don't have to worry about leaving it in the car overnight and coming back in the morning to find you don't have music to go to Work. I recommend. this product for everyone. Well, anyone with an iPod and a car.
