When the package arrives, the first thing you notice is that this topper is heavy. That is a good thing. This means that the foam is actually high-quality, high-density memory foam. We have one that we got from Costco and it's decent enough. A few years ago we had a cheap memory foam topper that contained a lot of air - no support, no density like standard foam. I ordered a medium firm topper which I recommend. I have shoulder problems and this was a godsend in terms of help. Very happy with my purchase and enjoying a better night's sleep.
