The glass on my Apple Remote was cracked (because Apple has to make everything out of glass, why?!?!) so I got these as a cheap replacement. I love that it controls both my TV and AppleTV, the remote does pretty much everything the original does except for one important thing. No way to close apps! Double-tap and swipe apps on the original remote or iPhone app to close them, just like you would on a phone. I still have to use the iPhone app from time to time because of this, but overall you can't beat this replacement for the price. hp If I'm wrong and anyone knows how to close apps with this remote, please let me know!
