My daughter is tall and thin and usually wears a size 10, 10/12 or larger. It was a bit loose around the waist but if I went down in size it would be too tight under the armpits as some other reviewers said. I don't think it will last but I only needed it for her father daughter dance and it lasted all night so that's good enough for me. Now it will be a play dress until it falls apart. I had to trim some loose threads and the fabric caught easily in the zipper. I ironed the petticoat on medium speed and used steam for the top layer. I tried hanging it in the bathroom for a few days to smooth out the wrinkles, but it took a lot of steam to smooth out the wrinkles. She loves this dress and the color goes well with her underwater theme.
