This is a good ballroom shoe. Note to reviewers who were confused by the buckle or complained that the sole was "felt": These are ballroom dancing shoes. They have a buckle common to women's ballroom shoes (sometimes called a quick buckle): you adjust the buckle on the strap to fit your foot once, and then just hook it in each time you put the shoes on (see YouTube). . The sole is made of genuine suede; you wouldn't wear them as street shoes, only on the dance floor; Suede provides the necessary support for the many turns that ladies usually do when ballroom dancing. The insole is a nice surprise and provides extra cushioning. I'm not entirely sure if the vamp is leather as described, but I'll update this review at some point after wearing it a few times.
