Their thickness is just right and doesn't interfere with wearing the helmet correctly while snowboarding. However, I don't like that the top and bottom come in two pieces instead of one whole for ease of wear. My kids can't put it on properly so I have to help them, that's not usually a problem, but it also means I take off my gloves to help them put them on. I like that there is ventilation in the front for the nose and mouth to avoid condensation and not fog up the goggles when wearing them.
