I used to spend money on cheap smaller scratching posts and none of my cats have ever used them. I suspected they might be too short and wobbly, but good ones cost a lot and it seemed like too much of a gamble. But our cat quickly ruined our new sofa and we had to do something! I took a leap of faith and ordered this post. Of course, for the first week or so, she completely ignored it. But I held a post up to where she was scratching and one day she ended up scratching it, I think just out of curiosity. She looked a little surprised, and then she was hooked. Now she scratches it during the day and rarely sticks to the sofa. She can fully stretch out with it, which I think she was looking for. I'm so glad I took the risk. 10/10 would buy again.
