Review on 🐢 Nutritious ORIJEN Dry Dog Food & Crunchy Biscuit Treats: Grain-Free & High Protein by Brenda Willoughby

My happy, healthy dogs LOVE this food!

My dogs LOVE these snacks! They are 3 and 4 years old. One of my dogs is sensitive to grains and had constant rashes and itchy skin (as well as diarrhea and gas with corn-based products before I knew better - dogs can't digest corn, but many brands include it because it's cheap). ) Since I switched to the diet below, they have not had a single day of nausea, not a single stomach upset or rash. I used to struggle with them being too heavy. I didn't want to cut them anymore because they were always SO hungry. After switching to the diet below I have no trouble maintaining my weight and no longer feel hungry between meals. I alternate my dogs with different flavors. My vet has said that it's best not to rely on a single source of protein as dogs can develop food intolerances and/or become bored. I used to buy Orijen Arcana but I don't buy it anymore because it has less protein. I feed my dogs fresh food (once a day fresh raw chopped veg and a small amount of fruit (I always check what dogs can and can't do before I feed them anything) so they don't need a higher proportion of dried fruit and veg. Including crumbs Arcana My vet recommended this to fill them up and it works and they get a raw meaty bone every week (I buy primeval bones from the pet club) I felt weird just giving them dry bits as it could be convenient for us, but I think it would be similar to how we eat protein/energy bars with every meal.I'm a firm believer that dogs (and humans) need fresh, raw ingredients, too.One of my rescues came with a yeast infection due to a rough diet (you don't want to know) she went through a very "rescue" spot. Wait a day for the infection to heal. They both enjoyed it so I didn't see any n reason to stop. In my opinion probiotics and calcium can only be helpful and when I run out of them they sit by their bowls and wait for the food because they know they're missing out! low-calorie, small, hard, chewy treats that you can slip in your pocket and won't fall apart when you walk or exercise. It took me a long time to figure out what works best for us. I'm no expert but my dogs love their food and my vet says they are in perfect health and ideal weight and their diet couldn't be better so perhaps this information can help someone on a complete diet. for her dog. Here's what I feed them twice a day: All dogs are different, but my 18 lb dog (who was a slightly overweight 21 lb dog before this diet) gets: - 1/4 cup Orijen Granules twice a day - 1 thawed main meat chunk twice a day. I alternate between different Primal Frozen meat nuggets. You can also buy these freeze dried nuggets and dilute them with water, but I prefer to give them uncooked primary nuggets (every night I put 4 in a pyrex container in the fridge and they thaw enough for the next day). In the morning I add a scoop of natural yoghurt without lactose to my meals. And in the evenings, instead of yogurt, I add about 1/4 cup of produce. It's usually a mix of two foods: chopped green beans, cucumber, broccoli, carrots, cooked pumpkin (I use unsweetened organic canned, no additives - beware of the spiced pumpkin pie), red, yellow, green peppers, some romaine, others Leafy greens - sometimes a few blueberries, chunks of apple, oranges, pineapple, cantaloupe, etc. My 11 lb dog gets exactly the same thing, except he gets a little less than half the piece that I give an 18 lb dog at each meal give. Give them their lunch without the primary frozen nuggets, and then give them raw, meaty lamb or beef bone or marrow bone (Primal brand) to gnaw on for hours. It also helps them brush their teeth. I also keep a few cans of sardines in the cupboard in case I run out of pre-frozen nuggets or forget to thaw them, or just to diversify their diet. I only add one sardine per feed. Sardines are great for dogs and my dogs love them! Be sure to buy the ones that come packaged in spring water with no added salt (snag a few when they're on sale). Sometimes I also give them a raw egg, which they love too. They love it too. Sometimes when I see a 50% discount pack of meat at the store, I give them diced raw beef or lamb along with their cuts (I cut and freeze them in portions to alternate with the cuts). I hope this information is current. If so, please click "Helpful" as I spend a lot of time on my reviews hoping maybe to help someone and I also believe in supporting great products! I'm happy to answer questions. I cannot be satisfied with the quality of this food.
