Easy setup. The hose is stretchable and can be made very long. It is equipped with a timer so you can turn it on and off as needed. At first I ran it continuously on the lowest settings and it used less than 1 liter in a 12 hour period. With the help of a timer and fine tuning, you can adjust the settings to perfectly suit your animal. The timer plug is 3 pin and I didn't have an outlet nearby to plug in the device so I had to use a 3 pin extension cord. It creates a nice fine mist as it uses ultrasonic technology. Also very, very quiet. To fill, simply remove the top cap or remove the entire water tank and fill. I use reverse osmosis water for this because I think it's better for my lizard.
