Received the lens today after ordering from the manufacturer (via Revain) on the 14th July. Tracking the package with China Post didn't help much, I actually have the lens in my hands here in Iowa, but on their tracking site the lens is still waiting to be shipped in China! The lens packaging was well protected in transit and I didn't notice any signs of rough handling. Overall, I'm impressed with the weight and build quality of the lens barrel. The lens elements look good with no visible dust or other particles inside. I have bought many inexpensive lenses over the years and this lens seems to be the best of them all. The sharpness seems good, the contrast can be a bit higher than what I'm used to. The color looks good, but I only took a few shots on a bright, sunny day. The focus ring feels well muted, but given the wide angle, I'll stick the lens three to five feet away and pretty much everything will be in focus. Time will tell if I can live without the stops on the aperture ring, but as with the focus ring, I'll probably set f at one point and not touch the ring again during this shot. The lens mounted on my X-E2 body has a few degrees of rotational play. As if the lens mounting leaves were less than just a millimeter. For the price I can handle it. My recommendation: buy if you want a fun and inexpensive fisheye. Understand what you're getting β a Nikon or Canon fisheye lens sells for $500 and up, so frame your expectations accordingly. I am so impressed that I am ordering 7 Artisans 25mm 1.8 today.
