Doing what they should and STAYING up too!

Actually ordered two sets of these, one large and one small. Set for my elderly mother and a set for my "young at heart” self - 49yr old.I’ve been extremely impressed with these compression socks so far. They are thin enough to be worn with dress-shoes so they work well for going "out on the town” without looking like you are wearing some medical aid socks. I’ve been putting a pair of wool winter socks OVER these socks when I’m out working in heavy duty boots and they actually seem to be helping with leg fatigue too, yet that wasn’t the reason I purchased/needed them. Last few months I’ve had unusual swelling in my feet, ankles and calves. I’ve tried a few other brands that were more expensive and returned all of them because they did NOT stay up on my lower leg all day - would slide down. These have been fantastic and when pulled up/on correctly they stop about 1” from my lower knee and I’m 6’5” tall with plenty of lower leg to cover & compress, lol! I will say that I would not advise putting these type socks in the dryer. My reasoning is from past experience with form-fitting clothing - rash-guard wetsuit shirts/shorts, UV Shirts, etc. Line/Air drying is best for these types of thin, elastic-like material.I’ve asked my Mother how she liked hers and she said she really like them so far as well with the exception of difficulty "putting them on”. She is older so I think that’s to be expected. Her other response was "It’s kinda like putting on a new pair of tight pantyhose” to which I replied "Well. I don’t know what that’s like Mom, or maybe I’m just never going to admit to wearing pantyhose?” Yes, she laughed.I’d recommend these. Good fit, does "the job” and the price is right. I’ll try to follow up in a few months on how well they are holding up, but so far 5 stars all the way!

Pros
  • Great product. I have thick calves and this don't "dig" into my leg but still offer a lot of support
Cons
  • The compression may cause discoloration or bruising on the skin
