Gave this to my 4 year old for her birthday and she loves it. Since she's a little under the recommended age, I take the newspaper off if she's just playing around the house with her. The paper and memory card are easy to install, all you have to do is insert the memory card and install the paper, and you're ready to take pictures. The worst thing about the camera is the short battery life. It dies after just a few hours, which sucks because I can't always charge it when we're not home. Even if you have a small memory card and your child tries to turn it on when the battery is low, they will keep trying to turn themselves on. Super annoying. As I take out the memory card and plug in the charge, it immediately starts charging. All in all I think it's a nice little gift, sort of a beginner's step before getting yourself a full-fledged digital camera or maybe one of the slightly more expensive Instax cameras. It also has little games like Snake (it's called Hungry on Cam lol)
