It's good but needs some work (long reading time)

I was looking for something the other day when I came across this. I'm not a selfie lover but I needed a stand for my phone for zooming and semi-pro photography, some of the other features look pretty good. It's heavier than I thought, probably because of the battery. . That doesn't bother me because it will be a bit more stable on a tripod. Incidentally, the tripod is unscrewed from the handle. When unfolded and standing on a tripod it measures 10.5 inches tall and when fully extended it stands 17.5 inches. Subtract 3 inches when the tripod is removed. When unfolded and the smartphone installed, the phone is in a perfectly vertical position. Maybe there would be a suggestion to bring it another 10-15 degrees. That way the phone could face you instead of having to slide it up to eye level. You have to take the phone out of the case as the lips are not wide or thick enough to hold the case. Also, the maximum width of a phone that can hold it is about 3 3/8 inches. The manual contains four QR codes, two for apps (depending on the phone type), one for demo videos and one. for detailed instructions. The app is essential if you want to use all of the gimbal's features, but if you just need stable functionality, it's not necessary. Normally the stabilizer is locked when not in use and you will be prompted to unlock it before turning. it's on. Through trial and error I've found that it's best to flip the phone over when it's locked and unlock it by rotating it clockwise about 15 degrees. If it spins freely, balance the phone so it doesn't tip over when you let go. When you turn it on, the gimbal will rotate to find the right orientation. When the phone is positioned correctly, the top of the phone is on top in portrait mode, while the top of the phone is on the left in landscape mode. Without the app and stabilizer, you can double-tap the button to switch from portrait to landscape mode. You can also press the same button with one click and it moves almost freely. The video shows from power on to orientation change. It's not mentioned in the manual, but you can see around 11 and 4 o'clock the phone changes orientation once it's set the correct orientation. I don't know if it's designed that way or if it's a bug, but it can be a problem if you move around a lot. The application is designed to work in tandem with the stabilizer. Once a Bluetooth connection is established between the two, you can control the camera from the grip. From there you can take pictures, switch to video, zoom in and out, and switch between the front and rear cameras. It should be noted that all buttons except T (Tele) mode work on my Samsung S6, Samsung S8 and Google Pixel 3A. None worked when the switch was moved forward to the "T" position. As far as I can tell, the app is not compatible with all phones. Aside from the gimbal and phone controls, there are a few other things the app will do. There's a 'free panorama' that stitches two photos together, an 'overlapping image' where you can superimpose an image, and a 'light bar mode' that allows images to have a sort of film effect. (Best to look it up on Feiyu Tech website.) There are two things I saw in the app that need further explanation or modification. One of them is a watermark. When powered on, the name "Feiyu Tech" and the date/time will be displayed in the lower left corner. I want to be able to change the watermark. The other is "Pro Modeโ€. No explanation what it is. All in all this is a good product. It will do what I want it to do, but it doesn't do everything it's designed to do. Again, the site lists which phones it supports (none of mine), so pay attention. I give 4 stars. It's good, but it takes work.
