Suitable for beginners, not for professionals

When it comes to LED lamps, I pay particular attention to color fidelity. I have had many problems with many cheap flashlights and this one has color problems as well. It has a slight magenta shift. It's not as bad as some of the others, but still noticeable. It is best if you do not combine it with any other type of light. I put it next to a 5500k softbox and you can see the difference in the colors. The included case is a good idea, but it doesn't really work that well. The cutouts are oddly shaped and make it very difficult to put everything back together. I also hate the snap frame. The X mount doesn't fit very well on the back of the light. I can't fully stretch my arms and it's impossible to fold them into a small bag that fits in the suitcase. I like the control box, although it seems a bit unnecessary. The cables are long enough, which is nice considering the only other option is a V-mount battery. A regular Sony battery would be fine. All in all, this is a great light. It gives off a good amount of light and is travel friendly with a compact package. Unless you're a pro, you won't find fault with it. But for me, the purple shift is a big problem.

Pros
  • The adhesive tape design allows you to mount the Roll-Flex LED light on a lighting stand to use it as an LED panel. The power button has two clicks labeled i and ii. Option i is for the V-mount battery, option ii is for the AC adapter.
Cons
  • Something else
