This is a heavy jacket that will protect you in case of an accident. I don't like anything about this jacket. But one thing I find less than desirable: the elbow pads don't fit in pockets and don't lay flat. Everything is the right size so I trimmed the pads to see if that would help. It's made a few. Due to the shape of the pads, the bottom of the pad gets caught on my watch when I take off my jacket. So in this case, cropping didn't help. Since it is a heavy jacket, it only gets hot when stationary. So don't stop and you won't get hot. I'm sure that if I have an accident, I won't think about how hot or how heavy my jacket is. What I love about this jacket: the inner pockets. On the one hand you have a casual large inside pocket. On the other hand, you can put your phone in it and it has a headphone hole (technical term) so you can run the cord through the inside of the jacket up to your head. It also has 2 snap button pockets on each side for concealed carry. This is a great jacket at a reasonable price.
