So I bought this for my new M1 MacBook Air. For those of you who don't know, this laptop doesn't have any fans at all, just a fairly large heatsink. And although I've never had a problem before, one day I saw how well this thing could play. I started to build up his workload. Needless to say the computer got pretty hot at times and this product seems to be the cure. And low and here. That. I don't think I expected this stand to be this big, but I think it would be nice to be able to use it with larger laptops than my 13" Mac Air. But let's talk about the airflow. If I sit at my desk early in the morning or late at night before the heating in my room comes on, the airflow coming from the bottom of my laptop/stand cools me down slightly. But more in the style of "glad that thing really moves the air". The vent underneath is large and seems to really maintain actual thermal throttling, and the overall case/radiator is much colder than if I was just standing on top of my computer. Keep in mind that it's rated for 5V and although it comes with a charging cable, you'll need to find a charging source. Make sure it's not some sort of supercharger or something, or yes you will probably overload the fan to an untimely death. I definitely recommend this to my M1 Mac users.
