I have a pretty small laundry area and I was looking for something collapsible I could use as a laundry basket so I can hang it on the wall out of the way when not in use. I looked at the plastic/silicone kind, but they all had the same gripes. One was that they were hard to collapse and pull out. The other is that they begin to crack and break over time. These little hampers are not the most ideal solution for me, but they’ll work until I find a better one. At the very least, I can definitely get use out of them now plus continue to use them elsewhere when I do find a more permanent solution. They’re super solid and well-made once you put the base and rods inside. Without them, they have no structural integrity and tend to fall over. I’m not mad at them for it as that’s just how they were made and meant to behave, but they don’t serve my particular purposes all that well. If I have to remove the rods and the base every time I want to fold one of them in and put it away, that greatly defeats the purpose of being more convenient, whether it’s space saving or not. They also wont hang on the wall properly as they wont stay compressed.What I plan to do with one of them is just keep the rods and bottom out so I can just use it as a laundry bag when taking clean laundry out of the dryer. More cumbersome than using a basket, but again I’m limited on space. I’ll use the other with the rods and bottom in my closet as an extra hamper. It would also come in handy for house guests. They’re the perfect size for about a week’s worth of laundry for one. Overall, I do recommend them for your consideration. Just consider that there’s a few steps involved in collapsing to put away and pulling out to set up.
