This product was exactly what I was looking for! My cat loves to stretch and scratch at the very top which is why I bought this product - for its length. The only slight downside is that when she's energetic and goes up to scratch, she leans back a bit in the opposite direction at full extension because the base is light for the overall height. As a result, it has the opposite effect on my cat and stops her from scratching her. I plan to add weights to the base to make it heavier and stronger so it doesn't tip backwards. I'm sure for any other cat that doesn't like to get near the scratching post and just wants to sit and scratch, nobody will have a problem. But for those who have cats like me, this is just something to keep in mind. I can only recommend it and would buy it again in a heartbeat!
