When I first took this out of the box it was night and in the evening light it looked almost pale blue - at first I was so disappointed and thought I'd send it back but decided to take it back out and look at it in the morning and it looked grayer in daylight. However, it's right on the edge, which the picture doesn't fully capture. We have gray walls and I wanted the bedspread to match and it was just a hint that I meant too light, but it's really very pretty. I like its weight - a little thicker than I expected but not too thick to get hot. We're currently using it over a Costco plush blanket and it's the perfect temperature. I expect this will work well in Spring/Summer without a blanket underneath. I love the fluffy softness of the top that if you don't like it you can just flip it and still have a lovely design without the fluffy feel.
