Review on Computer acoustics Edifier R1100 dark wood by Kio Flyx ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

The speakers are just great. The price certainly bites. But despite such a small size, the sound is very good, clear, soft, there is a comfortable bass and the absence of rumble and mumbling! Bought for work, so the volume is not important, but they play quite loudly at maximum power, do not choke and do not make extraneous sounds. At home there are microlab solo-7 and home theater LG 5.1, I compare the sound quality mainly with these average systems, I don’t have super Hi-Fi systems with a miracle of frequency response)) The downside is the controls located at the back, not very convenient. However, by putting the knobs in the right positions, there is no particular need to climb there and change something. As for the littered mids, high frequencies, etc., as many people write, I did not notice. I can advise you to properly adjust the equalizers or turn them off altogether, as I did, and the sound will be very good. When buying in the store, I was not too lazy and asked the sellers to include for comparison the SVEN-SPS 705 and defender Mercury 35 MkII speakers that I considered based on reviews. SVEN hasn't changed in any way for many years, as the speakers were buzzing, they are buzzing, as if you are listening in the tunnels. Defender sound is deaf, there are no middle ones at all, it's hard to listen, the bass is there, but it chokes at the maximum, suitable for those who like to set the equalizer to Full Bass & Treble. I listened to two identical songs in the store from my phone, for bass and for vocals, to be objective. Whoever pays attention to the wording good bass, keep in mind that the bass is good, tight and pleasant, but it won’t “pump” the room, if you want it to press on your chest, look at the acoustics three or more times more powerful, or at least add a subwoofer. They are an analogue of Edifier R980T, only a little more powerful. Reviews about the Edifier R980T are also relevant for the Edifier R1100.

Pros
  • Good clear sound. Soft pleasant bass. The absence of extraneous sounds when the speakers are "silent" (no transformer hum, etc.)
Cons
  • Rear controls.
