I was very curious to see how this inexpensive electric food slicer would actually work. I can honestly say I was totally impressed. Powerful and well built, with safety features galore, and easier to clean than those that cost at least twice as much. * The 200W motor drives through meat and vegetables like butter. Perfect slices even on soft bread.* Includes two standard 7.5 inch blades. One is serrated and the other is smooth, not serrated.* Heavy-duty rubber suction cups hold the non-porous surface in place during use. and as already mentioned. very easy to clean * Safety features prevent children from accidentally switching on the food slicer * Additional safety features protect the user from serious injury due to loss of concentration * Thickness setting adjustable from 3/4" to wafer-thin * Power cord sufficient for most kitchen needs This food slicer is really very good I would compare it to my Chefs Choice model which is twice the price.I like to use a slicer for very thin slices of roast beef or Top Round (sous vide) for French Dip Au Jus sandwiches.These super thin cuts of meat melt in your mouth sautéed onions and provolone cheese, all of which can be cut with this vegetable slicer, even in large quantities! Use a serrated blade for tougher cuts of meat such as venison or meat with lean meat. Also great for thicker cuts of bulky steaks. It's also great for hard breads and desc does not damage the crust. The smooth-edged blade can be used for thinner cuts, tender meat and vegetables. Almost like an automatic mandolin. home kitchen. Not for the professional kitchen, but for the home.
